Being a Web Designer...

When I'm asked what I do it is sometimes difficult to make it sound interesting. I normally find that as soon as I mention acronyms like "XHTML" or "CSS" eyes start to glaze... "What does Dave do then?" "Oh, he's a geek" - great!

Enjoying what I do...

Social ridicule aside - I do consider myself to be one of the fortunate people who enjoy what they do and work with a smile on their face.

It's great to work in an industry which encourages creativity but also a discipline of standards and good practice. I take pride in my sites and always ensure that design is built on a solid foundation of coding standards.

Spreading the love...

This Internet thing is becoming difficult to ignore. References to websites seem to be everywhere. They are on TV, in newspapers, on the back of Transit vans - I even found one in the bottom of a pint glass!
